Ripiro Beach Non-Fiction Writers Residency
In partnership with the University of Auckland
The Ripiro Beach Non-Fiction Writers Residency offers a University of Auckland alumnus the time, space, and support to work towards or complete a creative non-fiction work.
The residency was established in 2024 by Caroline Barron (Master of Creative Writing, 2015) and Jeremy Barron, in partnership with Associate Professor Paula Morris, Director of the Master of Creative Writing programme at the University of Auckland.
About the Residency
Each year, one University of Auckland alumnus (from any faculty) is selected to spend two weeks in residence at the Barron family bach at Ripiro Beach (Baylys Beach), Northland. The residency runs between July and September.
Residents receive:
- Two weeks of accommodation at Ripiro Beach (Baylys Beach), Northland
- A $1,500 stipend, funded by the Barron Family and the Master of Creative Writing Alumni Fund
