I’ve been meaning to share this for ages—my first story for Condé Nast Traveller UK. Commissioned to add a ‘novelistic approach’ to stories, which is cool. For this one, I got to spend a weekend at a beautiful hand-built cabin in Raglan, and spend time with the lovely owner, Nicola Todd. She owns a cool B-Corp business, Zay Bags—employing Myanmar women to weave recycled shipping tape into shopping bags; you would have seen them in boutiques all over Aotearoa. Enjoy!
