A packed auditorium of Year 12 and 13 students at Diocesan School for Girls—all of whom were focusing on their NCEA writing portfolios.
I presented an hour-long keynote speech ‘A Writing Life: Told in Story Structure’, which outlined my life in books and writing, including influences, favourite books and education. The intention was to highlight reading, writing and creative entry points for students, and to remind them that creativity lives within them.
Such a special group of young women, particularly those who came to talk with me afterwards. Thank you for hosting me, Susy and the English department.
